Cody is a clinical psychologist who has experience working with adolescents and adults on an individual and group-therapy basis. She has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals, Headspace, and schools whereby she has supported her clients through both face to face and telehealth modalities. Cody’s therapeutic style is holistic and tailored towards her client’s individual needs, goals, and abilities. Her therapeutic skillset includes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology and Brief Solution Focused Therapy.

Cody believes in a holistic and balanced approach to mental health. Her undergraduate thesis explored the link between physical activity and mental health, and she is currently completing a level one yoga teacher qualification to expand her knowledge in mindfulness and movement-based practices. Cody’s Masters thesis explored treatment methods for young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and comorbid depression and anxiety. She enjoys working with people with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities and their families and has both professional and personal experience in supporting this population.
Cody supports her clients to explore how their specific social, psychological, and biological factors influence how they are feeling and responding to their environment. She assists her clients in creating incremental goals based on their current skills and abilities and provides accountability and support for her clients to achieve these goals. Cody supports her clients to feel connected in their local community and to access additional support from other health professionals as required.
Cody is an approachable and caring professional who enjoys spending time in nature, baking, camping, fishing, and going to the gym in her spare time. She endeavours to lead a balanced and healthy personal life and encourages her clients to incorporate aspects of this into their own lives. Cody is passionate about supporting others to become the best version of themselves through kindness and the attainment of self-awareness and is looking forward to meeting you.
